My first consulting job happened by mistake when I walked into the wrong building, which turned out to be an unopened coffee shop. The rest is history.
Naturally, I’m a creative, and as the years went on, I’ve loved helping others in this industry—whether it’s through marketing or helping open a new shop. Creativity is the focal point of all that I do.
As the years went on and the more I learned, so many people I helped start a coffee business or market their shop kept saying something very similar: “Well, I wanted to do it this way, but I don’t think that will work.”
For me, hearing this—coming from a place where my entire life has been built on “nobody is doing this, and it won’t work, but I’m doing it anyway”—I started shifting my business approach.
I went from being a regular coffee consultant and marketer to being a creative one. Instead of just doing the same thing for people, I now focus on their real visions. Over the years, I’ve strategized and found ways to go against the “norm” in this industry. The success I’ve seen for myself and the amazing people I’ve worked with is something I will never take for granted.
This is how Brew Differently was born. The only thing that coffee shops, roasteries, and businesses have in common is that coffee is involved. The rest is all you, and standing out is the way to succeed in this industry.
